RouteTrail ("the app", "we", "us") helps you discover famous food spots, heritage sites, and hidden gems along your route. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. We have written it to be plain and honest — we collect as little as possible.

The short version: You can use RouteTrail without an account. Your location is used on your device to alert you near saved spots and is never sold or shared for advertising. We do not run third-party ad or tracking networks.

If you subscribe to RouteTrail Pro, payment is processed by Razorpay. We do not receive or store your full card details. We keep a record of your subscription status, plan, and payment reference so we can unlock Pro features for your account.

Your preferences — watchlist, language, alert settings, follows, and Pro status — are stored locally on your device. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling removes them.

7. Notifications & voice

Proximity alerts are shown as on-device notifications and can be read aloud using your phone's built-in text-to-speech. No notification content is sent through an external push server.

RouteTrail is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Your rights & data deletion

You can edit your profile in the app at any time, and delete local data by clearing the app or uninstalling. To delete your account and any associated profile data from our servers, email support@routetrailapp.com and we will action it.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
